In the last decade we’ve committed over £5.5m to support research at our hospital.
Our charitably-funded researchers have discovered new cures as well as more effective treatments and approaches, all of which have equipped colleagues with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to accelerate and advance medical breakthroughs to pioneer change.
Thanks to charitable donations our clinicians have become internationally recognised leaders of paediatric research, leading the way in studies for childhood cancer, children’s heart disease, youth mental health, rare diseases, infant brain tumours and children’s liver disease to name but a few.
To allow us to continue leading the way, we’ve committed to investing £1million every year to support research which will transform medicine and treatments for the next generation.
This £1million – the largest annual amount our charity has ever invested in research – will be awarded to support researchers within West Midlands Clinical Research Network and Birmingham Health Partners and will also invite applications for scholarships and projects for:
Nurses, Midwives and Allied Healthcare Professionals
PhDs and Higher Degree Scholars
Academic Clinical Lecturers
Supporting Professional Activities
Small Grant Projects
Research plays a critical role in being a catalyst for our clinicians to transform patient care. We need your support to springboard this funding to help them explore, study and test the next discovery. Donate
