Competition to name the crane and win a goodie bag of branded charity merchandise 

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY  

Promoter: Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, Steelhouse Lane, Birmingham B4 6NH.  

General Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy (both available at bch.org.uk) also apply when entering the draw, or when interacting with Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity through any other means.  

Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity is committed to protecting your data and will never sell its supporters’ data to third parties. By providing any personal information you consent to the terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy. 

Who Can Enter:  

  • Competition open to UK residents only.  

  • Only applies to people who enter the ‘Name the Cranecompetition run by Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity between 00:01 on 12/07/2024 and 17:00 on 02/09/2024 via the entry form found here or via relevant social media post.   

  

Opening/Closing Date and Time 

  • Competition in relation to Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity’s ‘Name the Crane competition opens for entries  on Friday 12 July 2024 

  • Prize draw closes for entries at 17:00 on Monday 2 September 2024.  

  • Entries can be submitted using the freepost address provided on the entry form or by returning it to the Fundraising Hub inside Birmingham Children’s Hospital B4 6NH. 

  • Entries submitted by comment on relevant social media posts will also be accepted and entered into the competition. 

  • Any entries received after this date will not be entered into the competition 

   

Winner Selection and Contact:  

  • The top three name choices will be shortlisted and announced via social media no later than 8pm on Friday 6 September. 

  • A public vote will decide the overall winner and the name of the crane. 

  • The overall winner will be contacted by telephone or social media message no later than 17:00 on Friday 13 September to confirm postal address to receive the prize. 

  • If there is no response after three attempts, the prize will go unclaimed. 

  • Subject to eligibility and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions, the most popular name of the three shortlisted eligible entries, determined by a social media poll, will win the prize. 

  

How To Enter and Cost Of Entry:  

  • The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.  

  • To qualify, entrants must complete and post the entry form found at this link to arrive at FREEPOST RRJU-RUSX-JEEU, Fundraising Team, Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, Steelhouse Lane, Birmingham B4 6NH or comment their name suggestion on relevant social media posts by 17:00 on 02/09/2024,   

  • Entrants via post are required to submit their personal details which include: child’s name, child’s age, parent’s name, parent’s phone number and parent’s email. 

  

The Prize  

  • The prize consists of one (1) goodie bag containing Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity branded merchandise. 

  • Delivery of the goodie bag will be made via post to the UK address confirmed by telephone or social media of the overall winner. 

  • Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity shall not be responsible if the overall competition winner provides incorrect contact details at the time of entry.   

  • Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity will not be liable if the goodie bag goes missing in the post. The overall winner is welcome to collect the prize from the hospital.  

  • There is no cash alternative to the prize and the prize cannot be sold or exchanged. 

 

Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity General Competition Terms and Conditions:   

  1. By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and Rules.  

  1. The draw/s opens for entries at 00:01 on Friday 12 July 2024 and closes for entries at 17:00 on Monday 2 September 2024.  

  1. The Fundraising Team at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity will select three ‘name the crane’ choices to take to a public vote on social media to determine the overall winner. 

  1. The overall winner of the competition will be determined via polls across Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity’s social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn 

  1. The overall winner will receive the goodie bag via post to the UK address of their choice.  

  1. No cash alternative is available.  

  1. The competition is only open to UK residents.  

  1. It is free to enter the competition. Entrants just need to adhere to the outlined requirements.  

  1. Winner of the prize will be contacted by the promoter by telephone no later than 17:00 on Friday 13 September to confirm postal address to receive the prize. If there is no response after three attempts, the prize will go unclaimed. 

  1. All participants are solely responsible for providing and (where necessary) updating the promoter with their accurate and up-to-date contact details and the charity will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any participant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the participant has provided.
